IFFCO Conducts Farmers’ Chaupal in Prayagraj Village to Promote Nano Fertilizers

Prayagraj: In an effort to promote sustainable farming practices and raise awareness about innovative fertilizers, IFFCO’s Phulpur unit organized a farmer chaupal at the local Panchayat Bhawan in Bhulai village, Babuganj near the unit. The session aimed to educate farmers on the effective use of Nano Urea Plus and Nano DAP in key crops like bajra, moong, and paddy.

The IFFCO team explained the application methods, dosage, and benefits of these nano fertilizers, emphasizing how they contribute to higher yields and improved soil health. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local farmers who engaged actively in the discussions.

Sanjay Kudeshia, Senior Executive Director and Head of IFFCO Phulpur Unit, interacted directly with the farmers, stressing the long-term advantages of nano fertilizers. “Nano fertilizers not only enhance crop productivity but also protect the soil from degradation,” he said. He encouraged farmers to adopt these eco-friendly solutions and assured immediate support from IFFCO in case of any difficulties.

Highlighting the importance of awareness, Kudeshia added, “Every farmer should understand the benefits and usage of Nano Urea and Nano DAP. These are the fertilizers of the future, and we are here to guide you through the journey.”

The chaupal also inspired immediate action—two farmers began seed treatment and sowing of moong and bajra using Nano Urea Plus on the same day, showcasing the effectiveness of real-time learning and demonstration.

Several key figures participated in the event, including Dr. Harishchandra (Core Department), Shyam Prakash (PRO), Anurag Tiwari (Training Manager), Vijay Kumar Yadav (General Secretary, IFFCO Employees Union), and Rajesh Singh, along with local village head Pushpa Devi and farmers like Kamlesh Kumar, Jagdev Prasad Chaudhary, Gulab Singh, Lal Chandra Vishwakarma, Abrar, Alok Yadav, and Bhanu Pratap Patel.

With such initiatives, IFFCO continues its commitment to empowering farmers through technological advancement and responsible agricultural practices. The organization plans to hold similar sessions in other villages to ensure wider adoption of nano fertilizers across the region.
