Prayagraj: The grand Maha Kumbh witnessed global participation as India's Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margarita, led a 110-member international delegation. This esteemed group included mission heads, their spouses, and diplomats from 71 nations, all eager to experience India’s unparalleled spiritual gathering.

Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared insights about this high-profile visit on social media platform ‘X’, emphasizing the significance of the delegation’s participation. He highlighted that the foreign dignitaries not only attended the Maha Kumbh but also immersed themselves in its sacred traditions. “The visit to the world’s largest religious congregation was an incredible spiritual experience,” Jaiswal remarked.

Diplomats from countries such as the United States, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa, Brazil, Malaysia, New Zealand, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, and Thailand took a holy dip at the revered Sangam. They also explored the vibrant traditions of Akharas and delved into the deep-rooted spiritual culture that defines the Maha Kumbh.

Welcoming the international delegation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his delight at their participation. He proudly stated that over 350 million pilgrims have already attended the Maha Kumbh and estimated that the number would surpass 450 million by February 26. Addressing the guests, Adityanath extended an invitation for the 2025 Maha Kumbh, emphasizing the significance of their presence in such a historic event. “This is the largest event of the century, and your visit greatly encourages us,” he said.
