Prayagraj: Security agencies have become vigilant in the Mahakumbh Mela after threats from Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The saint community is outraged by the threats. In Sector-16 of the Mahakumbh, under the leadership of Jagatguru Paramhans Das Maharaj of Ayodhya Chhawani, saints burned posters of terrorist Pannu and raised slogans against him. Paramhans Das stated that if Pannu is spotted at Mahakumbh, he will be buried alive.

Heightened Security Arrangements
Khalistani terrorist Pannu issued a video from the US threatening to target Mahakumbh and labeling it as the "last Mahakumbh of Hindus." Following this, the UP Police and other security agencies have implemented a seven-layered security setup across the fair area.

Drones and Facial Recognition Cameras: Drones have been deployed throughout the fair area to monitor every activity. Facial recognition-equipped cameras have been installed at entry points and sensitive locations.

Cybersecurity: A special cyber unit has been activated to prevent potential cyberattacks.

NSG and ATS: Teams from the National Security Guard (NSG) and the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) are stationed in the area.

Land, Water, and Air Security: Special boats will patrol the rivers, while Air Force helicopters will keep an eye on the fairgrounds.

Last Week's Encounter and Threat
After an encounter with three Khalistani terrorists in UP’s Pilibhit, Pannu threatened to target the three major royal baths (Shahi Snan) of Mahakumbh on January 14, January 29, and February 3. Following the threat, ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash personally took charge of the security arrangements, stating that all agencies are prepared for any situation.

Special Arrangements for Foreign Guests
Special arrangements have also been made to ensure the safety of foreign guests attending the Mahakumbh. Every individual entering the Sangam area is being closely monitored for identification and activities.
