CII Leaders Meet CM Yogi to Boost Industrial Synergy in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow : In a strategic move to enhance public-private collaboration and propel Uttar Pradesh toward becoming a $1 trillion economy, senior representatives from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow.

The delegation was led by Sanjay Kapoor, Chairman of CII Northern Region and Chairman of Sona Comstar, accompanied by Dr. Upasana Arora, Chairperson of CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals, and Abhishek Saraf, Vice Chairman of CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of Awadh Rail Infra Ltd.

Dialogue on Vision and Collaboration
The high-level interaction centered around strengthening the existing synergy between the government and the industry. Discussions included policy advocacy, improving ease of doing business, boosting investments, and fostering inclusive development across sectors.

Sanjay Kapoor commended the state’s forward-thinking industrial policies and praised the Yogi government for creating a progressive and investor-friendly environment. He reiterated CII’s strong commitment to contributing towards the state’s economic transformation, aligning its initiatives with the government’s developmental goals.

Kapoor emphasized that CII has been actively supporting policy implementation and sector-specific initiatives that align with the state’s aspirations. "CII sees itself as a strategic partner in achieving Uttar Pradesh’s goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy," he said.

CII’s Commitment to Inclusive Growth
Dr. Upasana Arora expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his visionary leadership and continuous support to the industry. She stated that CII looks forward to deepening its engagement with the state government and collaboratively working on employment generation and infrastructure development.

"With the government’s continued backing, we can launch meaningful initiatives that not only support industrial growth but also ensure inclusive prosperity for all sections of society," she added.

Abhishek Saraf also highlighted the potential of Uttar Pradesh as an industrial powerhouse and discussed the key areas where industry-specific reforms and infrastructure upgrades can further catalyze growth.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their dedication to sustained cooperation. CM Yogi Adityanath assured the CII delegation of the government's proactive role in enabling business-friendly reforms and welcomed the industry’s suggestions to fine-tune policy execution.
