Telangana Delegation Lands in Japan to Forge New Investment Ties
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy leads Japan tour to attract investment, boost industrial partnerships, and promote Expo 2025 pavilion.

The initiative, branded as "Telangana Rising", marks a significant step towards global outreach by the state government. The delegation includes Member of Parliament K. Raghurama Reddy, Principal Secretary V. Sheshadri, and NVS Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail, among other senior officials.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly received by Indian Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, who hosted a ceremonial dinner in their honor at India House. During their interaction, Chief Minister Reddy and Ambassador George held in-depth discussions on mutual areas of interest, with a strong focus on boosting economic and industrial ties between Telangana and Japan.
As a major highlight of the trip, the Telangana delegation will inaugurate the state's pavilion at the upcoming Osaka World Expo 2025. This strategic move aims to showcase Telangana’s technological advancements, infrastructure potential, and investor-friendly policies to a global audience. The event is expected to bring international visibility to the state’s industrial ecosystem.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Indian Embassy in Tokyo shared glimpses of the delegation’s visit, highlighting their arrival and welcome at India House. Distinguished Indian political figures such as MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, MP K. Raghurama Reddy, and former Minister and MP Napoleon were also present at the reception.
Over the course of their stay, Chief Minister Reddy and his team are scheduled to meet top executives from various Japanese companies, industrial leaders, and potential investors. These discussions will focus on presenting Telangana as a prime destination for investment in manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure development.
The official delegation will also outline the state's policy support, land availability, and proposed special economic zones designed to ease the setup of industrial units. In addition, the CM will explore avenues for Indo-Japanese collaboration in sectors such as clean energy, electronics, automobile manufacturing, and smart infrastructure.
With its strong industrial base, skilled workforce, and pro-business governance, Telangana aims to establish itself as a preferred investment destination in South Asia. This visit to Japan marks a strategic outreach effort by the state leadership to accelerate economic growth through global partnerships and attract long-term capital inflows.
As the "Telangana Rising" campaign gains momentum, the state's participation in global forums like the Osaka Expo 2025 signals its commitment to inclusive, innovation-driven growth and international cooperation.
